Need a Real ID? Scarritt Bennett Has You Covered

If you have friends and family that have stood in line for hours to get a Real ID, we have great news that will make getting your own Real ID much less of a headache and time commitment.

Scarritt Bennett Center will be hosting a Real ID event on Thursday, February 5, 2026, beginning at 9 am and wrapping up at 3 pm. The event will take place in the Laskey Great Hall, located in the Laskey Welcome Center, 1027 18th Avenue S. 37212, and will require an appointment.

There is free parking. Please park in Lot A.

Prepare for your Real ID appointment by making sure you have the correct documents and understand what your fee schedule may be by visiting the Tenessee Department of Homeland Security Real ID website. Scarritt Bennett will accept credit and debit cards to pay your Real ID fee.

What to Bring

Documents

Applicants Must bring all documents to event for final approval unless documents were uploaded no later than Saturday January 31, 2026.

• Upload documents here for pre-approval no sooner than 30 days prior. Must be uploaded 5 days prior to event to guarantee preapproval. www.tn.gov/safety
• Duplicates – $8.00 for first $12.00 after first duplicate
• Renewals – $28.00 and up depending on endorsements.
• ID Cards – Under 18 $4.50 and 12.00 over 18. New ID cards require documents listed above.
• Reinstatement Information – free Letter printed out with detailed information needed for reinstatement.
