Alumni and friends of Scarritt College are honoring Katherine Mitchem, Champion of Scarritt, with a fundraising campaign to make upgrades to her beloved Peace Garden and Labyrinth, located on the north end of the Scarritt Bennett Center campus.
Kathryn Mitchem served Scarritt College as the department head for the Church and Community department and returned as a volunteer to in the Scarritt Library and Archives.
Mentor, educator and friend to generations of students, her passion for teaching and unwavering support for her students left an indelible mark on our community.
Gifts made to this campaign will directly support Kathryn’s lifelong devotion to sacred spaces and endow her legacy of delivering transformative education embedded with creative learning opportunities at Scarritt College.
