Laskey Gallery Exhibit: SNAP Poetry of Light
April 5 –May 31

Scarritt Bennett Center, Nashville’s historic mid-town conference and retreat center, will host an exhibit of new photographs from the artists of the Society of Nashville Artistic Photographers (SNAP) entitled Poetry of Light.
Mark Scala, Frist Art Museum Chief Curator selected 39 images from a total of 24 artists that comprise this special show in honor of National Poetry Month. SNAP is a collective of photographers dedicated to promoting fine art photography through networking, exhibits and educational workshops for all skill level enthusiasts.
The Poetry of Light exhibit will open on April 5th and continue through the end of May. Please join us for the opening reception will take place on April 15th beginning at 7 p.m. at the Laskey Art Gallery on the campus of Scarritt Bennett Center. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Each month Scarritt Bennett Center promotes poetry through programs on its campus. Visual arts and poetry lovers are encouraged to attend this unique opportunity because the occasion combines the creativity of photographers and poetry from local writers with a program during the reception beginning at 7pm in the gallery.
All are welcome to the SNAP artists’ reception – it is a free event, and you may park for free in Scarritt Bennett Lot A, just off the Laskey Welcome Center, which will house the reception.
