To mark the 20th anniversary of September 11 attacks and in observance of the 2,996 lives lost, Scarritt Bennett Center will host “Remembering 9/11”. “Remembering 9/11” will provide space for members of the Nashville community to grieve and reflect. At the beginning of each hour and half-hour, from 7am–2pm, there will be a multimedia presentation to help guide attendees in their own journey toward healing. Attendees are invited to use the space for reflection, silent meditation, prayer, and contemplation. You may come and go as you please during the day and stay for any length of time you need.
The space will also encourage understanding, cooperation, and reconciliation between different faith traditions, as well as provide resources for adults and children. All are welcome.
