Word for the Week: In This Place
By Rev. Dr. Sondrea Tolbert
In Psalm 34:1, the psalmist declares, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
However, do you praise the Lord at all times? Do you praise the lord even in uncomfortable places? Praise God when you are in the place of sickness, health, lack, abundance, sorrow, joy, solitude, companionship, confusion or clarity. Whatever state or place that you may find yourself in, you should praise God!
God inhabits (dwells, takes up residence) in the praises of God’s people! When you praise, the King of Glory shall come in! Into your situation, circumstance, place!
Who is this King of Glory? The Lord High and Mighty, according to Psalm 24:7-10.
Therefore, let’s just praise God today in whatever state we may find ourselves in so that the King of Glory can come into that very place!
