Sunday, December 11, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the “Holiday Blues and Jazz: Worship Service and Mental Health Resources Event” provides a time of worship that recognizes the struggles many people face this season, offering our community a means to tend to your soul during the holidays. The service will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. It will include the inspiring and uplifting words of Spoken Word Artist Michael Diallo McLendon, blues and jazz music provided by musicians Kevin Madill, Connye Florance, and Kim McLean. Rev. Linda Furtado will bring her gift as a Sketch Artist to capture the visual worship experience.

Join East End United Methodist Church for Lessons & Carols in Wightman Chapel. This December 18th at 3:30 pm. A beloved holiday traditional, The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of scripture and song that dates to the late 19th century. Join us as the carols and readings recount The Fall, the promise of the coming Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the good news. Through word and song, this service guides us through the final hours of the Advent season toward the coming of Christmas. The music for the evening is presented by the East End United Methodist Church choir and music program. The service will also stream live on Facebook and YouTube.
