Art Exhibit: “Visions in Watermedia”
October 6 @ 9:00 am –December 21 @ 4:00 pm CDTFree
The Middle Tennessee Region of the Tennessee Watercolor Society (TnWS) presents “Visions in Watermedia”, the latest art exhibit at Scarritt Bennett Center’s Laskey Gallery. In “Visions of Watermedia” twenty-six exhibiting artists from the Middle Tennessee region will present their work, representing the many styles and techniques of watermedia on paper. The exhibit will showcase watermedia works that utilize watercolor, acrylics, water-based inks, gouache, and more.
TnWS is celebrating 50 years of impacting the visual arts community state-wide. Their purpose is to elevate the stature of watercolor and water mediums to educate the public to the significance of watercolor and all watermedia on paper as an important, creative, and permanent painting medium. TnWS also works to further the interest of watermedia painters with their programs, workshops, and exhibits, both competitive and noncompetitive, while supporting all of the visual arts.
