Tuesdays in the Chapel

Tuesdays in the Chapel is Scarritt Bennett Center’s weekly 35-minute worship service. Hosted by the Soul Work program, this service is offered each Tuesday at 12:30pm in our historic Wightman Chapel (campus map). Each chapel service includes preaching, scripture, prayer, music and features guest preachers from a variety of backgrounds and faiths.

Join us for a midweek Sabbath break that provides peaceful space for renewal and spiritual refreshment.

Tuesdays in the Chapel welcomes in-person worshipers in Wightman Chapel and streams live online. Recordings of previous services, as well as feeds to upcoming livestreams, can be found on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.

About Rev. Pat Freudenthal

Pat is a native of middle Tennessee – born in Nashville, graduated from Gallatin High School, received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Master of Divinity from Vanderbilt. She taught seventh grade students science for 18 years at University School of Nashville and loved every minute of the experience. During the summer of 1999, God called her from the classroom into ministry. While at Vanderbilt, she served at 61st Avenue UMC for one year and Bellevue UMC for two years. Following graduation from divinity school, Pat served for 11 years at Community Care Fellowship and Nancy Webb Kelly UMC in east Nashville, working alongside individuals who daily struggled with the challenges of poverty and marginalization. Returning to Sumner County, Pat served four years in Gallatin at Rehoboth UMC. For the last four years, Pat has been honored to serve as the Red River District Superintendent, an area that stretches from Nashville to the Tennessee River to Clarksville. Pat is single and lives with two very spoiled dogs: Gracie, 7 years old and Harrison, a 6-month puppy.
