You’re Invited: Prompt Power Hour – Juneteenth Edition Hosted by Scarritt Bennett Center’s Writers’ Circle
🗓 Wednesday, June 19 | 🕖 7:00–8:00 p.m. CT | 💻 Online
Join us for a special Prompt Power Hour celebrating Juneteenth through the power of words, memory, and imagination.
This one-hour virtual gathering is open to anyone—whether you attended a Juneteenth event earlier in the day or simply want to spend time writing in community. We’ll begin with a special introduction from Dream 7 Theater Productions as they share insights from their creative program, “Write What You Know.”
Then we’ll dive into writing time, using themed prompts to explore freedom, identity, culture, and hope. You’ll have the opportunity to write, reflect, and (if you wish) share in a welcoming, supportive space.
✨ No writing experience needed—just bring yourself, something to write with, and an open heart.
Click here to get your free account with SBC Online Learning Community and then access the event.
Celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth through story. We’d love to see you there.
