Join Scarritt Bennett Center and Certified Laughter Yoga teacher, Marge Wozny, on an adventure through information sharing, discussion, and lots of experiential activities. This training is available to anyone who wishes to improve health through practicing laughter exercises (seriously!) and through mastering yogic breathing awareness techniques (aaahhh).
The best part: at the end of this weekend training, you will be a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader!
This training will provide a hybrid learning model, incorporating the use of Zoom, in-person training segments using social distancing and face shields, seated Laughter Yoga, and (weather permitting) Laughter Yoga outdoors.
Registration limited to 10 participants, so register early.
Marge Wozny has been a lifelong laugher. In 2009, hoping to improve her health while grieving, Marge began attending Laughter Yoga at Nashville Laughter Club. Marge realized she had discovered a new passion—a way to inspire her “self” and others through yogic breathing, rhythmic clapping, and playful laughter exercises.
Once trained as a LY Leader, Marge found the adaptability of Laughter Yoga complemented her Social Work education and her wellness focus, so she created a business offering weekly Laughter Yoga classes.
In 2013, Marge trained as a Laughter Yoga Teacher with Dr. Madan Kataria and Madhuri Kataria, who created and developed Laughter Yoga in 1995. She returned with renewed creative energy. You can now find Marge laugh-singing within her weekly classes, laughing as she leads Nashville Laughter Club via zoom, breathing within support groups, and training and inspiring new Certified Laughter Yoga Leaders. (“Very good! Very good! Yay!”)
In our post-COVID world, Marge is currently focusing on adapting Laughter Yoga so that she can continue to share its health benefits while providing a safe environment for participants. And the most important question she continues to ask: where might Laughter Yoga fit in your life and health?
