Barbara E. Young is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and now lives—with Jim and two cats—in the outlying town of White Bluff. A poet in high school and college, Young gave up on writing due to a misconception. Young thought writers wrote because they had something important to say. It was as a senior citizen that Young discovered how wrong that idea was, and that writers write because they need to write.
Young has since published two chapter books. Her book, Heirloom Language, will be available from Madville Publishing https://madvillepublishing.com/ after Spring 2021. Learn more on her website: https://barbaraeyoung.com/.
