Carter's ChordAbout Carter’s Chord

Carter’s Chord is an American Country Music group comprised of sisters Emily Fortney, Joanna Ott, and Becky Scott. They made their debut in 2007 with their self-titled album on Toby Keith’s ShowDog Nashville label. The band’s Christmas EP was also released in 2007. One more EP, “Wild Together”, followed in 2011. For years, Carter’s Chord performed all over the country with their self-penned songs drenched in sister harmonies. These true daughters of the Outlaw Country movement have always been destined to make music. Their rich musical heritage includes parents Barny & Carter Robertson, who were both members of Waylon Jennings’ band The Waylors. The sisters currently reside in Nashville, TN with their husbands and children.
