Celebrate! Scarritt Bennett Center Turns 37

On June 1, 1988 Scarritt Bennett Center was born and began operations on the former Scarritt College campus in Midtown, Nashville Tennessee.

The United Methodist Women, predecessor organization of United Women in Faith, bought the buildings and grounds to insure the legacy of Scarritt College would be carried forward through their shared vision of a conference and retreat center which would make space for people working toward a more just world.

37 years later, we are thriving in the spirit of radical hospitality continuing the commitment to racial justice, women’s empowerment, spiritual formation and transformative education.

To mark our 37th anniversary we are offering these special presents during the month of June:

Sunday Supper: Come for Community Lunch on Sunday June 15th and 22nd from 11:30a until 2p.

Campus Tours: Free campus tours from 1p – 2p every Tuesday in June.

Cupcakes: Cupcakes for Community Lunch desert every Friday in June.

We are also offering you a chance to help make sure we are extending radical hospitality 37 years from now by donating $37, $370, $3,700 to Scarritt Bennett Center.

Finally we are asking you to be a part of Scarritt Bennett all year round. Every time you come to Community Lunch, each time you attend a performance or an event, when you marry here and celebrate with family and friends you are investing in us with your presence and your pennies.

You are making sure Scarritt Bennett Center will endure.
