Experience Holy Week with Scarritt Bennett Center
Rev. Linda Furtado, Scarritt Bennett Director of Spirituality and the Arts, is preparing two special services during Holy Week 2026. Please plan to join us on Good Friday, April 3rd and on Easter Sunday April 5th.
On Good Friday we will gather in historic Wightman Chapel at noon to pray and remember the passion and death of Jesus. The service will last 30 minutes and you are welcome to stay for Community Lunch, which is serves until 1 p.m. in the Susie Gray Dining Hall.
Easter Morning’s Sunrise Service will begin at 6:30 a.m and be held in the cloister walkway that joins scarritt and Bennett Halls, adjacent to Susie Gray Dining Hall. After the service concludes at 7:15 a.m., join us for an Easter breakfast in Bennett Hall.
If you are sleeping in, come by Susie Gray Dining Hall for Easter Supper of Fried Chicken & Baked Ham which begins at 11:30 am and serves through 1 pm.
As with most weeks, we will be serving Community Lunch Tuesday through Friday of Holy Week, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Please feel free come by and find a peaceful place on campus, walk the labyrinth, and share a meal with your community here at Scarritt.
