This year, we are celebrating 70 years of integration of the former Scarritt College, by two African American women, Mrs. DeLaris Johnson-Risher and Leila Robinson Dabbs in 1952. Scarritt Bennett Center was organized in 1988 as a non-profit conference, retreat, and educational center at the close of Scarritt College. Scarritt College, was established in 1892 and moved to Nashville in 1924 to train laity in Christian Education, music, and missions. Join us for the Radical Change Banquet and help us be Co-Creators for a More Just World. Proceeds from this event will continue to support the tenets of Scarritt Bennett Center in providing programming for Racial Justice, Women’s Empowerment, Transformative Education, and Spiritual Formation.
