Vespers & All That Jazz: “From Doubt to Belief”
April 11 @ 6:30 pm –7:15 pm CDTFree
Vespers & All That Jazz is a unique worship experience that uses words and music from a variety of sources to encounter the Sacred. We understand jazz to be a process of making music; music which shapes the service and helps us experience the interruptive Spirit of God in ourselves and others. The style is experiential. Open minds, open hearts, and open ears are essential. We hope for justice, compassion, peace, and wonder in response.
Theme: “From Doubt to Belief”
Scripture: John 20:19-31
Music: ALLELUIA NO. 1 by Donald Fishel; DUNLAP’S CREEK by Samuel McFarland; “In Christ Alone” by Keith Getty & Stuart Townsend; “Change My Heart, O God” by Eddie Espinosa; GRAFTON, a French tune, 19th cent.; “Peace I Leave with You” by Timothy E. Kimbrough
