ABOUT SHERRY COTHRAN WOOLSEY

Sunland explores the land of the voices of women from the ancient text, enabling them to be thoroughly modern while not sacrificing their mystery and intrigue.

You’ll hear from Rahab, the harlot; Deborah the judge and prophetess of Israel and others. The voices of these women are timeless and were not meant to be locked up inside the text. This is a new hearing for the modern age.

Come along on the journey to Sunland. Listen to the songs from the CD, “Sunland,” based on the lives of each character, read the story for yourself in the Biblical text, reflect creatively and learn to tell your own story in your own way.

We will explore 6 stories/songs and have a time of creative interpretation. The sessions will be very interactive.

Listed below are the texts, characters and songs we will choose from for our exploration. Songs can be downloaded in advance on itunes, amazon or cdbaby.com.
